IREPS Registration for Railway Tenders
IREPS registration lets your firm see and bid for tenders issued by Indian Railways on the Indian Railways E-Procurement System. Registration itself is free, but it needs a Class 3 digital signature. We prepare the details, DSC, documents and portal request.
What it is
IREPS is the online platform where Indian Railways publishes tenders and receives bids. A firm that wants to supply goods, services or works to the railways registers on ireps.gov.in as a new vendor or contractor. Once approved, you can view tenders, submit bids and take part in e-auctions.
Registration is only the first step. For safety-critical items, railway units may also maintain separate approved-vendor lists, which are different from IREPS registration. IREPS is the door to bidding. Approval for specific items is a separate step, where it applies.
In practice, a small manufacturer in Faridabad or a service firm in Delhi NCR registers once and then watches tenders from the railway units that match its products. We prepare the application, coordinate the DSC and file the request on the portal. Winning a tender depends on your bid, and no one can promise that.
Who it applies to
Suppliers and manufacturers
You make or trade items that railway units buy. Registered, you see the tenders and bid online.
Contractors and service providers
Works, maintenance and service contracts are also tendered. A registered firm bids on them with its DSC.
MSMEs and startups
Registered business entities, including MSMEs, can register. An individual without a registered firm cannot.
Why it matters
Access to railway tenders
Railway tenders are published and bid for online. Without registration you cannot take part.
Online bidding and tracking
You sign and submit bids with your DSC and follow results from your own login, with no paperwork to courier.
Free to register
The portal does not charge for registration. Your costs are the DSC, tender fees and EMD where a tender asks for them.

Common reasons IREPS requests fail
| Problem | Why it happens | How we avoid it |
|---|---|---|
| Name mismatch | Firm name on PAN, GST and bank proof differ in spelling or suffix | We compare every document before filing |
| DSC in the wrong name | Token issued to an individual, not the signatory named in the request | We confirm the DSC holder first |
| Unreadable uploads | Blurred scans or oversized PDFs | We upload clean, compressed PDFs |
| Wrong vendor type | Supplier chosen where the firm is a works contractor, or the reverse | We choose the type from your business activity |
A Gurugram trader who registers with a spelling difference between PAN and bank proof often waits days only to start again. A short check at the start prevents it.
How it works
Get the Class 3 DSC ready
You need a Class 3 digital signature token for login and signing bids. We help you obtain one and set up the browser and signer software.
Start a new vendor request
On ireps.gov.in we choose the new vendor or contractor option and initiate the registration request using the DSC.
Enter firm details exactly
Names, PAN, GST and bank details must match your documents. Here is the catch: small mismatches are the usual reason for rejection, so we verify before submitting.
Upload documents and sign
We upload the PDFs, review the application, sign it with your DSC and note the registration number.
Track approval and activate login
The request is processed in a few working days, and credentials come by email. We confirm the login works and set you up for tender alerts.
Timelines
Registration approval
Usually a few working days after submission, depending on the railway unit processing the request.
DSC validity
DSCs are issued for one or two years. Renew before expiry or you lose login and bidding access.
Tender deadlines
Each tender has its own submission date. In practice, firms that keep the DSC and documents current can bid at short notice.
What happens if registration goes wrong
Request is rejected
Mismatched names, unreadable files or a DSC in the wrong name lead to rejection and a fresh request.
Expired DSC
You cannot log in or sign bids until it is renewed, so renew early.
Missed tenders
Without an active registration you cannot bid at all.
Frequently asked questions
Is IREPS registration free?
Yes, registering on the portal is free. You pay separately for the digital signature certificate, any tender document fee and the earnest money deposit where a tender requires it. We give you a complete list of costs for a typical bid before you start, so there are no surprises.
What do I need to register on IREPS?
You need a registered firm, PAN, bank details, an authorised signatory and a Class 3 digital signature certificate. GST and Udyam certificates are usually uploaded as well. An individual without a registered firm cannot register. We check the documents and make sure names match everywhere.
Do I need a digital signature for IREPS?
Yes. A Class 3 DSC in the name of the firm or the authorised person is used for login, signing and bid submission. DSCs are valid for one or two years, so renew before expiry. We can arrange a new DSC or renewal as part of the registration.
How long does IREPS approval take?
Approval is usually described as a few working days after you submit the request. The time depends on the railway unit and the quality of your documents. Clear files with matching names usually move fastest. We submit a clean request and follow up if it sits for longer than expected.
Is IREPS registration the same as railway vendor approval?
No. IREPS registration lets you bid for tenders. For some items, particularly safety-critical ones, railway units can require separate approval to be on an approved-vendor list. We tell you at the start whether your product is likely to need that further step.
Can a proprietorship register on IREPS?
Yes, a registered proprietorship can register. Typically the proprietor photo, Aadhaar, PAN and an Udyam certificate, where applicable, are uploaded, along with bank details. If your proprietorship is not yet registered, we can help set that up first.
Can MSMEs and startups bid for railway tenders?
Yes, registered MSMEs and startups can register on IREPS. Any tender-specific relaxations depend on the tender conditions, so read each notice carefully. Our team can check eligibility conditions before you pay any tender fee or EMD.
What if my IREPS request is rejected?
You correct the reason and submit again. Rejections usually come from mismatched names, unclear documents or a DSC issued in a different name. We review the remarks, fix the documents and resubmit, so you do not lose more time.
What it costs
Our fee plus the government fee that applies to your case, quoted before you commit. Tell us the situation and we will price it exactly.
Registration on IREPS is free. DSC charges, tender fees and EMD are paid separately and vary by tender.
