ITR Filing in Faridabad
ITR filing in Faridabad for salaried people, landlords, shopkeepers, factory owners and companies, done by our team at BK Chowk or fully online. For FY 2025-26 most individuals had to file by 31 July 2026; if you missed it, a belated return is open until 31 December 2026. Our main income tax return filing page explains every form in detail.
What it is
An income tax return reports what you earned in the financial year, the tax already deducted or paid, and any refund due. It is filed on the Income Tax e-filing portal and must be e-verified within 30 days, usually with Aadhaar OTP.
Returns for FY 2025-26 (AY 2026-27) are still filed under the Income-tax Act, 1961. The new Income-tax Act, 2025 applies from tax year 2026-27, so next year’s forms and names change; Form 16, for example, becomes Form 130. Haryana does not levy professional tax, so a Faridabad salary slip will not show that deduction.
Who it applies to
Salaried people across the NCR
Say you live in Sector 86 and switched from a Gurugram employer to a Noida one in November. Two Form 16s, each employer taxing you as if it were the only one, and probably a shortfall. That is a return we see every July.
Landlords and property sellers
Families renting out a floor in the sectors, or who sold a plot in Greater Faridabad or an old house in NIT. Rent and capital gains change the form you file.
Shops, units and companies
Traders, job workers and manufacturers in Sector 24, 25 or IMT filing ITR-3, ITR-4, ITR-5 or ITR-6, often with GST turnover that must reconcile.
Which ITR form fits you
| Form | Typical Faridabad case | Key limit |
|---|---|---|
| ITR-1 | Salaried, up to two house properties, interest income | Total income up to ₹50 lakh; LTCG under 112A up to ₹1.25 lakh; no other capital gains |
| ITR-2 | Salary plus property sale, shares, or a company directorship | No business income |
| ITR-3 | Shop or unit keeping regular books, partner’s share | Business or profession income |
| ITR-4 | Small trader or professional on presumptive income | Up to ₹50 lakh; sections 44AD, 44ADA, 44AE |
| ITR-5 / ITR-6 | Firms and LLPs / companies | Entity returns |
A wrong form can bring a defective-return notice under Section 139(9). A director of even a small family company cannot use ITR-1.

How it works
Share your papers, online or at the office
Send scans on WhatsApp or email, or bring the file to B-363-365, Second Floor, BK Chowk. The office is open 24 hours, so a shift worker can drop in at any time.
Match with AIS and Form 26AS
We pull your AIS and TIS and match every TDS entry, interest and high-value transaction with your papers before we compute anything.
Compare old and new regime
We work out tax both ways and show you the gap in rupees. Under the new regime the Section 87A rebate makes income up to ₹12 lakh effectively tax-free.
File, e-verify and track the refund
You approve the computation, we file and you e-verify with Aadhaar OTP. We watch for the intimation under Section 143(1) and the refund into your validated bank account.
Timelines
Non-audit cases
31 July 2026 for ITR-1 and ITR-2 individuals; 31 August 2026 for non-audit business, firms and LLPs.
Audit cases and companies
Tax audit report by 21 October 2026 and return by 21 November 2026, after the CBDT extension of 28 September 2026.
Late and corrected returns
Belated or revised return by 31 December 2026; revised return with an extra fee until 31 March 2027; updated return (ITR-U) until 31 March 2031.
What happens if you miss the due date
You pay a late fee
₹5,000 under Section 234F, or ₹1,000 if total income is up to ₹5 lakh, plus interest on unpaid tax.
Your losses lapse
Business, speculation and capital losses in a belated return cannot be carried forward. House property loss can.
The old regime closes
A non-business taxpayer filing after the due date cannot choose the old regime, so deductions such as 80C and HRA are lost.
Frequently asked questions
Can I still file my ITR for FY 2025-26 in Faridabad?
Yes, a belated return can be filed until 31 December 2026, and audit cases still have until 21 November 2026. A belated return carries the Section 234F fee of ₹5,000, or ₹1,000 if income is up to ₹5 lakh. After 31 December, an updated return (ITR-U) remains possible until 31 March 2031, but it cannot claim a refund.
Do I need to visit your office to file my return?
No, most returns are filed entirely online: you share papers on WhatsApp or email and e-verify with Aadhaar OTP. Many Faridabad clients still like to sit with us once, especially for property sales or business accounts. Our office at BK Chowk is open 24 hours, so you can come before or after work without taking leave.
I work in Gurugram but live in Faridabad. Does that change anything?
No, your return goes on the same national e-filing portal wherever you work, and Haryana has no separate state income tax. What matters is your Form 16 and your address in the PAN records. If you changed jobs mid-year, both employers may have given the basic exemption, so tax can be short; we check that and pay any balance before filing.
Why is there no professional tax in my Form 16?
Haryana and Delhi do not levy professional tax, so employers there do not deduct it. A professional tax line usually means you were paid from an office in a levying state such as Maharashtra or Karnataka. Professional tax is deductible from salary under Section 16 only where it was actually paid, and we check the payslip before claiming it.
Which ITR form should a Faridabad shopkeeper use?
Most small shopkeepers use ITR-4 if they opt for presumptive income under Section 44AD and total income is up to ₹50 lakh. If you keep full books, claim actual expenses or are a partner in a firm, ITR-3 applies. We also match your GST turnover with the return, because a gap between the two often triggers questions.
I sold a plot in Faridabad. Do I need to file ITR-2?
Yes, a sale of land or a house brings capital gains, so ITR-1 is no longer available; ITR-2 is used if you have no business income. Keep the sale deed, purchase deed and receipts for improvement costs. The buyer will have deducted TDS on a sale of ₹50 lakh or more, and we match that credit before filing.
How long does an income tax refund take?
A refund is issued after the return is processed under Section 143(1), which follows e-verification. The refund goes only to a bank account that is pre-validated on the e-filing portal, so we check that first. Delays usually come from a TDS mismatch with AIS or an unvalidated account, both of which we fix before filing.
Should I choose the old or the new tax regime?
It depends on your deductions, so we compute both before you decide, as part of our tax planning advice. The new regime is the default, and with the Section 87A rebate income up to ₹12 lakh is effectively tax-free. The old regime may still win for someone with a large home loan, HRA and full 80C, but only if the return is filed by the due date.
What it costs
Our fee plus the government fee that applies to your case, quoted before you commit. Tell us the situation and we will price it exactly.
Filing on time costs nothing on the government side. A late return attracts the Section 234F fee; a revised return after 31 December 2026 attracts a Section 234I fee of ₹1,000 (income up to ₹5 lakh) or ₹5,000.
Ready to begin?
Send us your PAN and Form 16 today, and we will tell you which form you need and whether a refund or a balance is waiting.
