Accounting Services in Delhi
We keep books for Delhi traders, manufacturers, professionals and startups: daily entries, stock and cash, bank reconciliation, GST and TDS figures, and year-end accounts ready for audit and ROC filing. Our team works from Faridabad, about 30 km from central Delhi, and you share bills and statements online. Our main online book keeping page explains how the monthly cycle works.
What it is
Accounting services mean recording every sale, purchase, expense and bank entry, and turning them into a profit and loss account and balance sheet you can trust. Kept monthly, the same books feed your GST, TDS and tax audit.
Companies must keep books under Section 128 of the Companies Act, 2013, and businesses and professions above the income-tax limits must keep accounts too. We work on your accounting software or set one up, and close every month with a short report. The full scope is on our online book keeping service page.
Cash, stock and the Delhi trading floor
A large part of Delhi’s trade still runs through wholesale markets such as Chandni Chowk, Sadar Bazar, Khari Baoli and Karol Bagh, where cash, credit to retailers and fast-moving stock are normal. Two income-tax rules shape how such books are kept.
First, Section 269ST bars receiving ₹2 lakh or more in cash from one person in a day, in one transaction, or for one event, and the penalty under Section 271DA equals the amount received. Second, under Section 40A(3), a business expense paid in cash above ₹10,000 to one person in a day is not allowed as a deduction. We flag such entries every week, not at year end. That gives you time to change how a buyer pays.
Stock matters as much. Registers should tie to purchase bills, sales invoices and e-way bills. When stock in the books matches the godown, the bank stock statement and the tax audit stop being a scramble.
Who it applies to
Wholesale and retail traders
Businesses in Chandni Chowk, Sadar Bazar and Karol Bagh with daily cash sales, credit to retailers and large stock.
Manufacturers and exporters
An Okhla garment exporter waiting on a GST refund needs export invoices, shipping bills and returns that match to the rupee.
Professionals and startups
Consultants, clinics and tech teams in Nehru Place or South Delhi that want monthly numbers without hiring a full-time accountant.
Why it matters
Defensible GST credit
We match your input credit against what suppliers report, so a mismatch is caught before it turns into a notice.
Bank limits and renewals
Banks want stock statements and provisional figures. Clean books make renewal routine.
A shorter audit
Reconciled books cut audit time and keep ROC and tax-audit dates safe.
Your Delhi compliance calendar
Your books feed a fixed set of filings, and a few points are specific to Delhi. Delhi levies no professional tax, so salaries carry no PT deduction. Companies now file with ROC (NCT of Delhi-I) or ROC (NCT of Delhi-II), depending on the district of the registered office, after the split on 16 February 2026. Delhi sits in the group whose quarterly GSTR-3B is due on the 24th.
| Filing | When |
|---|---|
| GSTR-3B, monthly | 20th of the next month |
| GSTR-3B, quarterly (QRMP, Delhi) | 24th of the month after the quarter |
| Tax audit report, FY 2025-26 | 21 October 2026 |
| ITR for audit cases, FY 2025-26 | 21 November 2026 |
| AOC-4 (financial statements) | Within 30 days of the AGM |
| MGT-7 (annual return) | Within 60 days of the AGM |
Monthly GST return filing and quarterly TDS returns run off the same books, so we do them together.

Post entries every week
You upload bills and statements to a shared folder or the software; we post them and list what is missing.
Close the month and work out taxes
Bank and cash reconciliation, stock check, GST working and TDS liability are done before the due dates.
Report and review with you
A short report on sales, profit, cash, stock and dues, with a call to go through it.
Timelines
Monthly close
Books closed in time for GSTR-3B by the 20th, or the 24th after the quarter under QRMP.
Tax audit
Business turnover above ₹1 crore needs a Section 44AB audit; ₹10 crore if cash receipts and payments are each within 5%.
Year end
Accounts finalised for the statutory audit, then AOC-4 within 30 days and MGT-7 within 60 days of the AGM.
What happens if the books fall behind
ROC late fees
AOC-4 and MGT-7 each attract an additional fee of ₹100 for every day of delay.
Tax audit penalty
Missing a required audit costs 0.5% of turnover or ₹1,50,000, whichever is lower, under Section 271B.
Cash penalties
Cash receipts of ₹2 lakh or more from one person can draw a penalty equal to the amount under Section 271DA.
Frequently asked questions
Do you have an office or staff in Delhi?
No. We have one office, in Faridabad, and our Delhi clients are served online. You upload bills and statements, we post them in your software and we review the month on a video call. If you want to meet, come to B-363-365, Second Floor, BK Chowk, Faridabad, Haryana 121001, about 30 km from central Delhi. Our phone, +91 93117 95484, is answered 24 hours.
Do Delhi businesses deduct professional tax from salaries?
No. Delhi does not levy professional tax, so salaries paid to staff working in Delhi carry no PT deduction. Professional tax depends on where the employee works, not where the company is registered. If you have staff in a state that levies it, such as Maharashtra or Karnataka, that state’s rules apply to them, and we set it up in payroll for you.
Most of our sales are in cash. Is that a problem?
Cash sales are legal, but there are limits. Under Section 269ST you cannot receive ₹2 lakh or more in cash from one person in a day, in one transaction or for one event, and the penalty equals the amount. Cash expenses above ₹10,000 to one person in a day are also disallowed under Section 40A(3). We flag such entries weekly, so you can adjust in time.
When does a Delhi trader need a tax audit?
For FY 2025-26, a business needs a Section 44AB audit when turnover exceeds ₹1 crore, or ₹10 crore if cash receipts and cash payments are each within 5% of the totals. Professionals need one above ₹50 lakh of gross receipts. After the CBDT extension, the audit report for FY 2025-26 is due by 21 October 2026. Up-to-date books make the audit routine.
Does a Delhi shop need registration under the Shops Act?
Under Section 5 of the Delhi Shops and Establishments Act, 1954, an establishment files its registration statement within 90 days of starting work. A 2026 amendment limits the Act to establishments with 20 or more employees, but it applies only from a date the Delhi Government notifies, and we had not seen that notification at the time of writing. We check the current position when you onboard.
Our books are a year behind. Can you catch up?
Yes. Picture a Sadar Bazar trading firm that kept only bank statements and a rough cash diary for a year, and now has a loan renewal coming up. We rebuild the year from the last closed trial balance, bank records and GST returns, month by month. Missed GST or TDS filings are fixed on the way, with interest and late fees worked out upfront.
Can our statutory auditor also keep our books?
No, not for a company. Section 144 of the Companies Act bars a company’s auditor from providing accounting and bookkeeping services to it, among other services. So the firm keeping your books must be different from the firm auditing them. We can take either role for you, and we will tell you plainly which one we are taking.
Which accounting software do you use?
We work on whatever you already use, desktop or cloud, and set up one if you have none. A trader with stock needs software that handles inventory and GST invoicing well. Cloud software helps when partners in different markets, the bank and we all need the same numbers. Weekly uploads and a fixed monthly close matter more than the brand.
What it costs
Our fee plus the government fee that applies to your case, quoted before you commit. Tell us the situation and we will price it exactly.
Bookkeeping itself carries no government fee. Late fees arise only on missed filings, such as ₹100 a day on AOC-4 and MGT-7.
Ready to begin?
Send us last month’s bank statement and your trial balance, and we will show you what a clean Delhi month-end looks like.
